Safety and the Home Studio Space
Things to consider when setting up a space to work with clay. . . CLAY IS MESSY. . . FUN, but MESSY!
Here are a few tips for working with clay at home:
- Set up to work in an area that will be easy to clean.
- Make sure to keep the clay you are not actively working with WELL COVERED!
- Work outside if you can! It really makes for easier clean up and limits the dreaded clay dust.
- WET WIPE the area and tools you use. . . again we want to avoid the dreaded clay dust.
- SAVE YOUR SCRAPS :) Yes we can recycle clay :)
- Protect your finished work! HANDLE WITH CARE. . . Especially if it is bone dry!
